Meet My Makeup Artist

With all of my boudoir sessions, professional hair and makeup is always included. Not that there's anything wrong with natural beauty. But when it comes to boudoir, we are all about the glam, glitter, cut creases, and being extra extra here at Flashdoll.

I've been working with my makeup artist, Dillon, for quite some time now and to be honest... she is hella talented. Keep scrolling to see her at work.

How did you learn to do makeup?

Dillon: I'm completely self taught. I always seen girls on Instagram with gorgeous makeup and I wanted to look like that. So I started doing it myself. At first I was very bad but I practiced every single day for about a year and a half to improve my talent.

What separates you from other artists?

Dillon: The beauty community is extremely cut throat. Artists will chew you up and spit you out so they can be on top. What makes me different is I love seeing everyone grow with their talent. I tell people all the time that anyone can do makeup if they put in the practice needed! I want to see my clients and followers grow and blossom into an artist that inspires others.

Why is professional makeup so important for images?

Dillon: I believe professional makeup is important because it gives a little confidence boost! You’re going to feel more confident about your photos when your makeup is slaying!

Tell us about your brand, Slaybaby Cosmetics.

Dillon: I started my brand around 2 1/2 years ago. It started completely by accident actually. I hadn’t been doing makeup long and I was still learning. I really wanted a Lancome rose highlighter but I didn’t want to pay $40 for a highlighter. So, I went to Walmart and bought a few simple materials and after a few trial and errors I made myself one. I posted it online and everyone wanted me to make them one so I thought “Hey, I could sell these!” So I did, and I started thinking about what else I could possibly make and SlayBaby Cosmetics grew from there. All the products are made from natural ingredients and completely cruelty free. I also have buying options for all different price ranges so we can get you what you want for what you can afford!

Dillon has been a professional makeup artist for three years. You can check out her Facebook page here.
